Elvis Aaron Presley was born January 8, 1935, and died August 16, 1977. He was an American actor, singer, musician, and actor. He is one of the most prominent figures in rock and rolling music. He was also an actor in many movies. His fame lasted well after his death. He is one the most famous people of the 20th century. Some people refer to him simply as “Elvis”. He is often referred to simply as “The King Of Rock and Roll” or “The King”.

Presley was born in Tupelo (Mississippi). When he was thirteen years old, Presley and his family moved from Mississippi to Memphis, Tennessee. In 1954, his music career started there. Presley’s first RCA hit, “Heartbreak Hotel”, was released in January 1956. It reached number one in the US. After many television appearances, chart-topping records, and numerous TV appearances, he became the most prominent figure in rock and roll. His enthusiasm for his music and his seductive performance style made him very popular, as well as controversial.

He made his film debut with Love Me Tender in November 1956. He was drafted into military service in 1958. He made some of the most memorable recordings when he returned to recording two years later. Presley spent most of his 1960s time making Hollywood movies. After a seven-year break from performing live, Presley returned to the stage in 1968. He died at 42 after years of abuse of prescription drugs.
